Amanda and I had been planning a shoot like this one for quite some time, and we had been lined up to shoot it weeks before when a sudden cancellation left us without a makeup artist. We postponed the idea until we were introduced to the extraordinary makeup talents of Tia DeGiobbi, who's a bit of an instagram celebrity (@tialacakeface, in case you don't already follow her. In fact follow me too at @timlingley!)
Hairstyling was done by the wizard-level stylist Laura Lewis, who did some gorgeous pigtails with bows in them, using just Amanda's hair. I had some awesome lighting assistance from Jacob Connell, who also provided some comic relief throughout the day.
The images came out with a vibrant palate, and have a slightly twisted feel to them, especially when Tia made Amanda's makeup run like tears down her face. The piece-de-la-resistance however is the tongue prosthetic that Tia prepared; scroll down and you'll see how amazing it is.
