My cousin Shayla wanted something different for her wedding. She hired a fantastic photographer, Steph MacKinnon (Update: her photos of the day can be found right here), to rock the photojournalist style photos, and get some great candid moments. She hired me to create a "Celebrity Photo Booth" with gorgeous light, a unique backdrop and vintage furniture. Luckily, the Agricola Street Brasserie had some gorgeous wood flooring, brick walls and unique atmosphere that lent itself perfectly to this kind of idea.
One of the great parts of this kind of booth is that everyone has their photo taken in a studio style setup, so they're all dressed up, the light is flattering, the furniture is beautiful, and there are no distractions, besides the music on the dance floor. It also meant that Shayla had a couple of wonderful fashion style images at the end of the night of her absolutely gorgeous dress, as well as the hilarious group shots.
Since I shoot a lot of studio work, I was right in my element. I had Sean Snow assisting me for these as well and he did a great job communicating between the subjects and myself, for those especially loud songs. Incredible fun and some beautiful images to boot.
